What are you most passionate about professionally?
I love teaching athletes and coaches. My passion is watching athletes learn how to move properly and get stronger for their sport. Achieving this with a reduction in injury is also important to me. Teaching new coaches on the science aspect of training and how to become a great coach is a passion of mine as well.

What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?:
The most exciting thing about work is watching athletes achieve the goals they have set for themselves athletically and scholastically. Providing training protocols to help them get to their goals is exciting.

Where can we find you when you’re not working?
When I am not working I am generally doing grad school work. Aiming to get my PhD has taken up a lot of my free time. When I am not doing school work, hanging out with family, my girlfriend Tracy and friends watching sports and just relaxing. In the summer I enjoy kayaking and cyclocross biking.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
The weekends are generally dedicated to family and friends. Watching sports specifically football and MMA is something I enjoy doing. When time allows, heading to neighboring states to see what they have to offer.

What superhero power would you want and why?
I would like to fly. Cut down on gas, mileage on the car and the ability to get around easier is always helpful. Plus, you never have to pay for parking in the city either.

When is that??? I love what I do, so it isn’t really work to me….most of the time. Admittedly, I am a bit of a hermit.

I love spending my Saturday and Sunday afternoons with my beautiful wife Lyn and my two lovely daughters. Otherwise, I am a bit of a nerd so quite time for me is golden. The time that I can catch up on some reading and education.

What superhero power would you want and why?
I’d want to have the ability to teleport. Sometimes you need to get away to say Budapest or the famous, sunny and beautiful vacation spot in Kankakee. Really, who doesn’t love Kankakee?

Professionally, I am passionate about helping people find the best version of themselves. Progress. Watching people progress both physically and mentally is an amazing thing to witness. That’s what excites me. The contributions I make to this Fit Code Family is my amazing sense of humor, energy, and compassion – of course by amazing humor I mean unique… Who am I kidding? My dry humor. Have you seen my Energizer Bunny energy yet? Watch me when “Footloose” comes on – Booyah! Compassion, well I am a Social Worker.

Where can we find you when you’re not working?
When I’m not working? Wait, what’s that? I work too much…. I suppose it could be an array of places. I may be in my bed reading, catching up on Dr. Who or some other series I’ve been meaning to watch, I may be at a local establishment catching up with friends, with family, or working out.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
My favorite way to spend a weekend is on the couch with my bae. Then chastising myself for saying “bae”. My favorite way is to relax on the couch with a movie or catch a massage. However, that’s really just a fantasy. Usually my weekend consists of errands, homework and food prep. <face palm>

What superhero power would you want and why?
I would love to teleport; think Night Crawler. BAM I’m at work. BAM I’m at the gym. BAM I’m in bed. Yeah, son. That’s what I’m talking about.
